I’m so sick of people thinking they can just waltz into my room when I’m obviously listening to music in 4/4.
I just wanted to reblog this again because I find it inordinately funny.
I decided that to study for my French Diction exam, I would put my notes on tumblr. So the queue is beefed with a month’s worth of Pierre Bernac quotes on interpretation of vocal music and some general language things.
COSI FAN TUTTE
There are too many people on here to name them, but these are many of our favorite composers including Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Shostakovich, Debussy, Ravel, Gershwin, Brahms, Dvorak, Corelli, Mozart, and I THINK we got Beethoven in here…
I swear this project was 100% accidental and thanks everyone for putting up with the composer+Christmas hat spam today.
People who worked on this:
Merry Christmas to everyone in the tumblr music sphere!!!
"Being a musician is almost like a very isolated life, and the only time you actually get to communicate is on stage with music.
It’s not a bad thing. People say, ‘Oh, are you lonely?’ I think being solitary, it really allows us to think about life and to think about why people write this music. Or why those people are moved by certain melodies. It makes you start to wonder about things that are beneath the surface.”
I love listening to 4-part harmonies but I hate writing them u feel me
If you hate me all you have to do to torment me is to play a Dominant 7th chord and then leave.
